Ac system questions

Today i tried vacuuming out my ac system, and it held pretty well. I tried to charge it, and one of the rubber lines blew a hole in it. Just before that, the compressor was cycling on and off. I know that has something to do with the switch on the accumulator, but where do I set it as far as where the screw is positioned? Any reason why the line blew? I have a few other problems, but I can't think of them at the moment. Any help would be great thanks!

Re: Ac system questions

No, It only happened today, so I'm waiting for a new one. And I was referring to the screw on the switch to adjust it.

Re: Ac system questions

Please help, what position should the screw on the switch be in? A picture of it maybe? I'm not sure where it was set originally, and where to change it from there.
