hooking up A/C in 86 camaro?

hi. my 86 camaro had the tune port removed and was swapped over to carb. so alot of the tune port components are not there..so that being said...my car does not have a functioning air conditioner in it.so i was wondering..is it possible to hook something up somehow to get my AC working again? i seen a silver oval shaped part on the passenger side under the hood,,a buddy told me that used to be for my air conditioner..it looks like it had some lines going to it at one time. is there anything i can buy somewhere to hook up an AC again? i dont know whats all involved with doing something like that. love my car...but DAMN! it gets hot in there some days lol...any help is appreciated.

Yes.

I started with a full donor system from a parts car. Then I fixed the existing wiring.

It sounds like you only have the accumulator left on the heater box. You will probably want to go to a junkyard to get most components if possible. Buying everything new is going to be very costly.

First step is to see exactly what you have. Is the wiring still intact? Condenser? Compressor? HVAC controls?
