I'm not sure this is the right place but I think it could belong here.

Does anyone know what this tube is for? It's a hard plastic one and as you can see it is broken.

89 TA L03 with A/C

If it goes to the firewall down by the heater hoses, it's the vacuum "supply" to the HVAC control head.

You can cut out the bad section and replace with whatever size rubber tubing that slips over the ends of the plastic. 5/32" or 3/16" most likely.

 

Ok I will check that, would that cause me not to be able to select what kind of mode I want inside or the AC not working right? Cause I have both problems, doesn't switch from Defrost nor does the AC Work.

It's obvioulsy farkled. Fix it and find out what starts working. Not rocket science, there.

 

Yeah got a tube over it now, so now the HVAC Mode Selection works again, one thing less on my list to fix Thx for the help.
