84 Thermostat housing

I have an 84 Z28 HO 305 that I am replacing the radiator. There is a sensor in the thermostat housing that has wires connected to it. One of the wires is broken on the connector to the sensor. I have done some search and I think its said to be the coolant temp sensor for the fan. Just wanted to make sure that was correct as I have to try and order the connector.

I guess I did not get a good picture of the housing sensor, just the connector.

Re: 84 Thermostat housing

After more research (Google picked up better 3rd Gen posts than site search) it looks like it is a coolant temperature sensor for the ecm. O'Reilly does not stock, Napa does not list for 84 305. Autozone sells sensor and pigtail (SU102 Duralast/Coolant Temperature Sensor) and hopefully have in stock.
