Hey guys probably a stupid question, but last night one of my coolant hoses decided to split wide open on me....

is there a specific molded hose i can purchase or can i just cut some heater hose to length?? just worried about the bend.

Re: Coolant Hoses and there part Numbers??

thanks for the quick info, unfortunately nobody in my crap city carries it or can get it in...... However the guy just told me alot of people bypass this hose, as its not needed if you are in a warm climate, or in my case only drive the vehicle in the summer.. Is there any truth to this and if so is there a sticky on this bypass procedure??

Re: Coolant Hoses and there part Numbers??

autozone has high miler hoses that are supposed to last a lot longer than regular hoses. I have samco hoses on my zr1 and they are essentially racing hoses. Don't know if they make samco for 3rd gens but I hope they do.

Re: Coolant Hoses and there part Numbers??

ok so i just researched and i believe i understand what needs to be done, however i just realized i dont have a heater control valve/diverter, it appears before i had purchased the car this was replaced with a connector and just another piece of hose going into the left side under the TB,.... is this a necessary piece or can i now go from one to the other... and what is the purpose of the diverter
