Relocate radiator, power steering lines or notch shroud?

I got my new dual fan shroud today and of course it's not going to just bolt in. The shroud sticks out 2" from the radiator core. The power steering lines are in the way where they go down over the end of the steering column. These are steel (high-pressure?) lines. The end of the steering column is also in the way but only by about 3/8".

Option 1: Try to move the coolant and A/C radiators forward 1/2" by cutting down the rubber grommets that hold them in place and then reroute the power steering lines (using braided hose?).

Option 2: Notch the shroud. I would have to remove approximately 3/4" wide by 4" high section at the edge. The shroud is stainless. Would that seriously impact the shrouds effectiveness and if so, I could take it somewhere and have the edge corner cut out and reversed and welded back in.

Anyone done this? Anyone know which would be better?

Thanks for your help.

I'd go after the shroud. It sounds as if it will be a pretty small hole so it should have negligible effect on flow.

That's what I figured. Plus as a bonus I don't need to wait for parts. Thanks watajob.
