Heater Core Bypass...plz help...

So I got a 84 Z28 LG4 engine, and all of a sudden when i parked i hear sizzling under the hood and for some reason the hose coming form the heater hose which goes into the engine block(not into the water pump) is spewing out boiling radiator fluid. I know I got a bad heater core, but could that be why it did that? and regardless whether its because of that or not how do I bypass it...do I just connect the hose together?thanks!

follow the hose to the water pump. put a plug there. follow the other hose the the intake. put a plug there. done.

you should just fix the heater core if that is your problem. better it fixed than put a band aid on it
