New Radiator
Im running into some cooling issues especially when my a/c is on so im thinking its time for a new radiator. Had a 2001 blazer do the same thing when the red antifreeze solidified on me. This ones kinda doing the same thing but it has green antifreeze in it now. Since I dont know what the PO had in it figured couldnt hurt to change the radiator anyway. Anyway seen a few post about the champion radiators and the trans cooler lines but seen this one on evilbay and it just has the straight threads and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with these and some NPT AN fittings and the cooler lines? If nothing else I have a cooler on the shelf i can use instead but was kinda wantin to run both.

Re: New Radiator
Thats a great price for that rad!
Its my understanding that the early Champion rads for our cars had the wrong threads for the tranny line fittings but it was corrected and they should thread right in now.

You never, ever, want to mix radiator fluid. Ever. Toyota Red and GM Green mixed becomes so acidic that it will melt your radiator hoses. Some mixtures will actually turn into a jello type substance. Why, I don't know, but it's bad. Just don't do it.
My 84 T/A, always gets hot when running the AC, especially in town. On the highway it's no issue. I've got the single electric fan. I haven't heard of anyone with dual fans having cooling issues unless they're running forced induction or radical cams.
