Coolant Bypass / Heater Delete
I want to clear out the engine bay so i was looking at ways to bypass the heater. Figure I could get a small hose to connect block to water pump and call it a day, but....no way, my spout is to high and slightly off to the side...so question (before i cut spout down to try to fit the hose)
has anyone done anything different (other then a hose)?

Re: Coolant Bypass / Heater Delete
all I did was block off the heater core connections and ran a hose from the rear of the intake ( passenger side for tbi ) to the nipple on the radiator. the top connection on the water pump is plugged.

Re: Coolant Bypass / Heater Delete
Can I plug the manifold side and the water pump side(top of water pump nipple).
I tried a Mopar bypass hose because it seemed just right to fit the two...but now think bits too tight and restricting flow.
Considering all HVAC is deleted.
Also Rad is aftermarket... no nipples to connect too.
Thanks

Re: Coolant Bypass / Heater Delete
I bought a brass 90 degree and 45 degree fitting for the intake, and found a formed hose with 5/8 and 3/4 ends. The fittings helped aim the hose down towards the water pump.
I prefer the bypass hose, as my engine always runs warmer without it.

Re: Coolant Bypass / Heater Delete
Mine is def closer, its like both fittings are right on top of each other!
But I got hose and fittings store and did as you said.
I lucked out cause the hose I used had two molded ends (one 90 and on like 70)....the 3" middle had a sweeping bend. valla....the middle did the ticket,
So I'll run it a couple times to see how it does, but thanks again
