Help with heater core hookup!

Hey so my '87 trans am had a new motor put in when I bought it. It was a brand new 350, 2nd generation style (I think that's what he told me, its the same style 350 as was used in the 80's/early 90's) and he didn't have any of the coolant hoses hooked up to the heater core. after looking at a few other engines from this year, a hose is supposed to plug into the top of the water pump via a nipple or something like that. Mine has that blocked off with a bolt and the connector/nipple thingy that is used to connect the hose to the pump is not there, sooo.... does anyone know where I can get it or what it's even called?? it's located on top of the engine, just left of the thermostat...

It's called "hose nipple".

You get em at the hardware or auto parts store. Even Home Depot and such will have em.

The one that goes into the WP needs to be ½" pipe thread to ¾" hose.

The one that goes into the intake needs to also be for ½" pipe, but hooks to a 5/8" hose.
