Axle/Gears: not sure
coolant

my dad changed my thermostat and he said he only got a quart of... if that of water out of it he doesnt understand why so little he put a quart back in and the car runs fine doesnt overheat or anything how come there is so little coolant i know there should be more can anyone help before i have a bigger problem then i do now

Just what was in the upper hose.
Not necessary to completely drain system to change thermostat.
