R134a Results Are In! Thoughts?
Thought I would let everyone know the final verdict on my A/C situation.
I bought all the parts for the A/C retrofit into my thirdgen and assembled the system myself.
I stopped all the belt noise and vibrations and tested the system performance tonight on the way home from work.
Ambient temp outside on a warm summer night was measured at 82F and some change. Humidity was rather high as well. Within a few seconds of me starting the car, the duct temp had already dropped into the 60s (Since I replaced the leaking liquid line and swapped out another orifice tube since the first was partly clogged with trash from the new compressor being broken in, the system begins to cool immediately after start-up). Once on the highway for approx 3 - 5 mins I noted a lowest duct temp of 37.9F with the blower fan turned to the second setting which is roughly a 45 temperature delta from ambient.
I have been able to cool the interior sufficiently enough for moisture to condense on the windshield (Have to keep using the wipers going down the road), driver side window, both T-Tops and the back hatch. This is with R134A!

Cold my friend is when you have frost blowing out of your vents going 65 down the highway on a 90 degree day. Achieved this with myself replacing my ac components and filling my system. At idle on the highest fan setting I had 33 degree air coming out of the ducts. Colder if the fan speed dropped or was moving.
