champion aluminum 3 row radiator install ( not the one made for our cars )

ingpicked this radiator and fan up for 75$'s from a member of my local forums
it was originally for a nova its size is identical to the f-body unit except it is only 27 instead of 30inches wide

the package is rated to cool a 650hp engine

u cannot use the facotry fan setup or top radaitor mount with it for now i have some temp straps on it to hold it in place wut ill make some nice ones out of 1/8th inch or 3/16's aluminum

only thing i had to change to get it in the car was to slightly bend the trans cooler lines

im going to use the factory dual fan setup and modify the fans so i can mount them to the backside of my intercooler since it is so thick and it does black alot of air to the radiator

Yes, you can use the factory fans.....and they'll a cool a lot better. I believe they push quite a bit more cfm than the aftermarket fans. Here's how I got mine to work...

i like how that came out , the fan i got with he radiator does move a ton of air, if its not big enough im going to swap to 2 pusher fans on the front side of the radiator as i really need the room on the engine side as u can see.

i ended up doing this myself and tossing that champion fan , i only had to use one of the stock fans and the thing stays really cold without a thermostat ( 135) even cruising. might give me some issues this winter when i need heat in the car, but ill just drop a 180 stat back in it and use my ecm to control the fan on at 180 and off at 170
