87 Camaro both fans inop no luck so far TS
I tried searching this before I posted here. Nothing gave an answer to my problem. I have a 1987 Camaro Iroc L98/auto. AC has been removed. Fans were working fine. Than both quit working. It has a hypertech chip and fan switch. Checked fuse which was good. Tried replacing both relays-nothing. Jumped fans at relay plug. Both turn on. On both relays I have two wires with power with key on. No idea what to check next. Seems like one fan would not run for different reasons. But not both. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Since you bypassed the relay by jumping the plug, you know the circuit is good because the fans turned on so it's not a fuse or fuseable link.
This means either the Relay or the switch is bad.
The relays are cheaper, since you bought new ones, make sure ALL the connectors are seated properly. On mine, wires on the relay plug were pushed away from the relay and weren't making good connection to the relay. I had to push them back up to make sure they were making contact in the relay. This fixed my issues.
If this doesn't get the fans to work, disconnect the wire from the fan switch on the passenger side and ground the wire to a chassis ground. Turn the ignition to "run" or start the car. The fans should come on. If they do, then you know the relay is good.
If the fans do not come on at this point, then the relay is bad.
If the fans do come on, then reconnect the wire, start the car and run it to operating temp and the fan should kick on. If they don't, the switch is bad.
