Double POST,,please remove

I have an '89 RS that the PO removed the entire a/c system.
I am re-installing a/c. I read on TGO somewhere that the '92 condenser was better than the early model cars; but, the condenser would "not" bolt-in because of the a/c fittings were different. Since I needed new hoses for MY car; I went to the pick-n-pull yard and took the hoses off of a '92 camaro. They hooked right up to my compressor/dryer/evap. Problem is there is a (switch??) or something in the "hard" line that goes from the condenser to the evaporator. My car has no wires for this switch. The wiring diagrams say that it is for the fan-A/C-pressure switch and is "only" installed in '92 tbi cars.
The "single" cooling-fan comes on whenever I put the dash HVAC switch to any a/c setting. Is this switch only used for turning on the cooling fan?
If this is all it is used for; then I can just leave it disconnected,,,right?
Thank you for your time.
BTW...there was an '04 (small car,,maybe cavalier or something) sitting next to the '92 I was working on. The condenser was already removed and sitting on top of the engine,,,looked like a new condenser, it was perfect.
It was approx 15.8x27 inches (exact same as the camaro condenser).
Only problem; it had crazy looking connectors/fittings on it. I sure thought about getting it; but, didn't know how to adapt it.
