Transmission: carb, 350

radiator porblems, top half hot bottem cold.

so i bottemed out today and all of my radiator fluid shot out of the cap and drained out. i took the car home, and flushed the radiator twice with a hose. when i turn on the car the top half of the radiator is hot, as the bottom half is ICE COLD. i think the radiator is clogged. any tips ?

Radical Radiator

You didn’t say if the engine is now overheating.

If the radiator is original replace it.

It’s a fast swap.

But if you’re on a budget you can check the radiator by removing it, capping the bottom, fill it with water.

Now, uncap the bottom and see how much the flow-out is.

Then invert the radiator and see if the water flow-out from the top is more.

If yes, the radiator is clogged.

A well maintained radiator will look as beautiful 20 years later, as it did new.
