AC Delete ?

What do you do with the metal tubes leading to the Evaporator and routed through the fire wall ? They are solid with no connections at that point. Should I just cut them off ?
This is a permanent removal.

Re: AC Delete ?

If you are going to do the A/C delete box, just remove the factory stuff & put it up for sale??

Re: AC Delete ?

I’m going to have to find the procedure for that. I’m always looking to salvage what I can.
My Chilton’s manual will not give info concerning removal of the AC system because of environmental reasons.

Re: AC Delete ?

My engine bay may not be show room quality but I know what I like and dislike. That AC-Delete pulley made me sick every time I looked at it.
I replaced the compressor so I had something in there that looked like it belonged and did not draw your eye every time you opened the hood. The rest of the AC system was removed up to the last connections leaving only the pipes coming from the firewall. That way when the time comes to do the AC-Delete box it will all still be intact . I caped of the ends of the pipes with some nice black caps and am calling it done for now.

Re: AC Delete ?

Thanks, but even after a mild cleaning it shows every piece of dirt that's left. Really opens it up though.( I live right down the road to a truck depot so Im constantly fighting the dust.)
