Trouble identifying component
Trouble identifying component
I'm working on my coolant system and replacing the water pump, but in the process this piece broken and I have no idea what it's called to try to find a replacement.
Please see part circled on attached photo.
This is an 89 Camaro 2.8. The coolant lines going from the firewall both go into this and there's a vacuum line on the top.
I've circled it in the attached photo. The picture is not the best as it's not mine it's one I found, but it shows what I'm looking for.
I've been looking all over and some 2.8's don't have it so I'm thinking it may be linked to the AC somehow, but not sure.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Trouble identifying component
Heater Control Valve. You should have a vacuum line running from the firewall to it also, do you?

Re: Trouble identifying component
Yes, there is. The problem I have is that the pipe coming out the right side of it snapped so I needed to find out what it was so I can get it replaced.
Thank you for the help
