I'm not trying to run it like the tpi setup I have a diverter valve from a bronco so its a inline inlet and outlet so I'm guessing of just running a fitting off the intake to the inlet of the diverter valve then the outlet going into the heater core and having the outlet of the heater core going to the radiator for the return will this work instead of the tpi routing

Re: heater core routing for hsr setup

Should have mentioned that then. Why ask for tpi setup if you arent using tpi diverter valve routing?

But yes there is one or two tapped fittings in front of the base or around the tstat area depending which casting you have. Run a fitting from there to inlet of diverter valve and then the valve outlets to heater core on wall

ok so the hot side does have to hook up to the intake didn't know that I had mine going from the water pump into the heater core then out to the radiator no wonder why I wasn't getting nice hot heat
