Help please!! 3800 V6 blew radiator hose - how to refill system?
hey guys, yes I know this is a 4th Gen but I could really use the help of my 3rd Gen experts
My 3800 V6 blew its upper radiator hose and lost a lot of coolant, I'm going to buy the 12 liters the system holds just to be safe. What I need to know is will I be OK just pouring new coolant into the radiator a bottle at the time? Do I need to worry about air pockets or will my system refill with coolant just fine by adding a bottle at the time? Will I need to run the engine at all during this? Any advice is appreciated, thanks guys

Take cap off and fill it to the top, leave the cap off , turn car on. It's going to bubble and suck up the coolant. You need to watch it very closely so that it doesn't go dry, keep adding as it goes down. After the car is warned up it should have the right amount. Just watch for bubbles. After it's done bubbling and the level is stable, top it, cap it.
That's it, pretty easy.
