Dry A/C system capactiy

Guys I'm in the process of restoring this 87 iroc. I've rebuilt the motor put a t56 in and now I've replaced all the AC parts.(Compressor, accumulator, evap core, office tube and the condenser and lines) the compressor came with the gm serpentine conversion kit. My question is how much oil and freon should this system take. I know I'll have to do r134 so what kind of oil do I use? Thanks so much for your help guys!

Re: Dry A/C system capactiy

Use the medium weight oil. 75 - 100 or so. Not 40-50, not 150.

It'll take right around 4 cans of 134, maybe a bit more.

Use the Frod red-orange orifice tube, ask for 96 Crown Vic. The GM R-12 tube works much more poorly in a GM system w R-134A in it, than the Frod R-134A tube does.
