'92 RS ECM Fan Control?

Were these older ECM's for the 305 TPI such they would turn the cooling fans off once the car reached a certain speed, like the LS ECM does, or are the fans "on" simply a function of the engine temperature? I am getting ready to make a somewhat long trip and hoped the fans would not run the entire time I am on the highway.

Re: '92 RS ECM Fan Control?

Thanks for the reply and information. I was hoping the fans would cease to run at some speed in hopes it would extend their life and cut down on the load on the alternator.
