heater switch problems

heater switch problems
on my 89 iroc the top switch on the climate control/heater does nothing, i still have heat or cold comming out of the top vents and the vents down just in front of the seats,i think its the control switch ,is there a common problem ? is it a easy fix? the switch slides nicely it dosent feel as tho anything broken ,Any ideas?

I thought i would check out the vacuum lines and found that a number of them were split at the ends so i trimmed the ends off and replugged them in and viola i inadvertanly fixed the heater switch (sweet) didnt know the vacuum lines had anything to do with the heater switch so that was a real bonus,one happy camper i am

Nice fix, you may want to get a roll of vacuum line and replace all of them.
