Electric fan not turning on.

I wanted to know something.
I just had my motor rebuilt and the electric fan was working. Than all of a sudden it stopped working... I changed the motor with an new OEM motor. I tested it outside the car and it worked. Once I put it in the car it stopped working? Could it be that the cars brain has been removed? But it was working without it for a couple of weeks.

It's an 84 trans am single fan and it's a 305 h.o.

Maybe someone has the correct schematic.
It should look close to this. I think the fan relay is next to the radiator passengers side.
you can ground the head temp switch and the fan will come on.
