Iroc Z loud rattling noise from engine bay
Whats up ThirdGens anyone possibly have a diagnoses for this problem im having ? Loud rattling noise coming from engine bay. I checked it out and it seems to be like the fan is rattling violently for some reason . Once i turn the car off you can still hear the rattling noise as the fan is slowing down to come to a complete stop.

probably the outer ring around the fan blades is broken-should be easy to find a replacement,lots of mid-80s-mid '90s GM cars used the same fan:FWD cars,early v6 and non-AC 4th gen to name just a few.

I would say your violently shaking fan appears to be the culprit. Disconnect the relay temporarily and verify the noise goes away. Either something is broken and the blades are hitting, or the fan motor itself is borked. Fortunately, you can replace just the motor and it's not very expensive or difficult to do if it's bad.
