Replaced Temperature Gauge

I had been trying to figure out why my car would run in the red zone but not be overheating according to a infrared gun. I thought and had been told by my mechanic it was probably a bad gauge but i hated looking at the pegged out gauge while driving. I figured i would have to crawl under the dash and remove it from there. I was talking to my friend James C about it and he said he had a used gauge he was pretty sure was good that he would give me. and that it wasn't hard to install. He explained how simple it was and i decided to try it. I stopped by and he gave me the gauge and the tool i needed to take the screws out of the outer bezel on the dash. Due to having the mechanical aptitude of an

apple it took me 2 tries (had to crimp the dash connectors) but it is fixed and working great. I guess the point of this post is to thank James C who is and has been a tremendous help to me and a lot of other people who will never get the pleasure of knowing him.
