89 v6 correct operating temp
Title pretty much says it. What is the correct temp for the LB8 v6
mine does hover around the 220 mark, give or take ambient temps and whether or not I'm moving

That sounds like a typical 3rd gen. Sitting idling or barely moving will do that. Fan will kick in and keep your temps a bit over 200. Movement gets air across the radiator fins and temps will go down. Don't trust the gauge to be 100% accurate, use an IR/temperature gun to confirm.
