Aftermarket temperature gauge question

I put an aftermarket temp gauge in my son's 1986 iroc 305 tpi. I installed it in the drivers side head where the dash gauge sending unit was, Will this cause the cooling fan not to work? Will this cause any issues with the way the car runs ?

Re: Aftermarket temperature gauge question

No. Should be fine. That one works only the gauge.

Re: Aftermarket temperature gauge question

The thermostatic switch that controls the fan is on the passenger side head.
