Hi, just going to do a R134a retrofit. I have a new accumulator all the gaskets and connections and a R134a oriffice valve. I also bought a new compressor its a GM 15-20206 replacing a R4 heavy. Much to my surprise the new compressor has no pressure cut off valve on it like the R4. Unless I overlooked something under a snap ring but I dont think so. My question is should I put a cut off valve inline into the discharge line from the compressor to the condensor or just get a compressor with the proper cut off electrical plug. Just got the compressor 2 days ago and it has a 30 day return. Every site I checked says confirmed fit for the 87 Camaro?
So all these new compressors are machined differently hence the new junk o rings that leak. GM does sell a kit that I hear works good ACDelco GM Original Equipment 15-20058 (02724887) Air Conditioning Manifold Seal Kit with Compressor and Condenser Seals
