Standard WP Vs HD water pump issues

Has anyone successfully installed a Heavy Duty water pump into their 85-87 v-belt TPI engine? I noticed the HD inlet port is raised by 4mm. My standard WP barely has enough clearance for the AC/WP belt.

No experience with it. I have mine off at the moment...I'll have to check it against the new one.

If you have a machine shop with a large belt sander, they could quickly zip a little off the mounting pads of the HV pump to get it to the same dimension as the original, no?
