This is NOT the way to get a proper eprom. At best you'll get crap. At worst, you will get contacted by one of the many trolls that cruise these boards looking for fools that think that you can get a good cheap eprom by spec.

About the only thing that will get burned is your wallet.

Best is to burn your own - plain and simple. Second, is to buy a custom eprom from a known eprom writer like Ed Wright.

Though Ed is good, (and so am I), there is no way you can do a good eprom without "hands on access" to the vehicle and a LOT of scan data.

Also, for the cost of a GOOD custom eprom, the cost of the equipment to burn your own works out to be cheaper.

There are no free lunches and you do get what you pay for. Burning your own eprom is the ONLY way to get the best possible eprom because the amount of time and data that you need to collect to get an optimized eprom is cost prohibitive. It's like paying someone to change your cam - real expensive and you loose the advantage of seeing the "inards" of your engine to guage it's general condition.

Finally, the ECM/Memcal used in the 1985s is the worst (sorry to say). I would either convert to the later MAF or (better yet) convert to SD.

I just bought a 90 ecm out of a Camaro and I am going to repin the thing and go that route. The amount of info that a 165 baud rate is so slow... I have a pocket programmer 2 and the uv light thing. Now for the learning process...Buddy talked me into it is a 730 easier to tune?
