I have a hypertech thermomaster chip in my 88 Formula LB9 auto I noticed that my egr valve isn't working( according to my autoxray), ever since i installed this chip. Is this normal? I don't see this being normal the more I think about it.. I went on a highway trip last week and a code 42 came up, which has never happened before. I've had this chip in the car for over a year, and no codes ever came up. I put the stock chip in and the egr system works as it should, which eliminates broken wires bad egr valve etc. I've noticed a decrease in power, rough/low idle lately with the hypertech chip especially with the ac on.
