Ok, heres what happened guys, my friend has an 88 camaro, it has the 1228063 ecm in it, after many mods he decided to have a custom chip burned, but because the 8063 ecm was only used in 88, he was told to get the popular 8746 ecm for his car because there are many more programs to burn chips for that ecm. He found the 8746 ecm and installed it in his car with the stock chip at first, the car would start up but stall very quickly, he put his custom chip in it and then it would start up, idle very high, and make a very loud sucking noise, which it never did before. The car then would idle down and have a very very low idle, if you give the car any gas at all it woudl stall, no tuning, or adjustment of the fuel pressure woudl make it much better, so my question is... Is there just a problem with the 8746 ecm, i bought it at a local pic-a-part where they dont test them, so anything could happen.
