ECM noo-b question

What is the advantage of swapping to a 7747 ECM and is it truly a plug and play operation. If not, what does need to be done?

TIA

in the case of my 92 camaro it was nice because it has no top speed limiter, and i could get rid of the air temp sensor in the air cleaner the engine likes the fuel/spark curve much better than the oem ecm :hail:
