ECM swap help

I have an 85 IROC just bought it. It had a 305 in it, the last guy swapped in a 355 w/ lt's and a cam and roller rockers and 24lb injectors and 100 wet shot. I want to upgrade the ECM to a newer one so I got one, but it won't start. It cranks but the engine isn't getting any fuel. I assume it's VATS.

Basically I have an 85 w/ an 86-89 ECM that uses vats, how do I get rid of it? I heard I can get it out in the ECM or there are resistors. Anyone have directions to this?

Thanks for any help,
Matt
