Best V6 Computer?

Okay I am going to change my carb'd V6 over to MPFI, I am wondering what year of the v6's had the better computer/wiring setup in general? As the years went on, did the fuel injection systems get better or worse?

Thanks for any help.

We have a 1985 and did the same thing you are getting ready to do. Personally I liked the carb better. It also seemed much easier to fix. It ran much smoother than this one does too.
Just an opinion. Best of Luck!

I thought the 85 V6's were all MPFI stock?
Odd, and eh I have had idling issues with the carb and no shops around here know what to do with em either.

ALso easier to get headers on it if I don't have to worry bout the AIR tubes

The early to '89 MPFI engines ran MAF & two (?) different ECMs. From '90 to '92 the MPFI engines ran SD (MAP sensor) and the '7730 ECM. My preference is the SD systems.
