Torque converter lockup delay.

What effect will delaying torque converter lockup in the prom by say 10 mph have on track times?

It depends on the car.
One of those things you'll have to experiment with.

It's a stock 92 camaro rs with a 305 tbi. I was just wondering how delaying the torque converter lokckup is beneficial. Can someone please explain this to me.

Keeps the RPM down, and on some high torque engines that may be faster then allowing the engine to rev higher.

It's about keeping the engine in it's sweet space.

If you keep the torque converter from locking up wouldn't that make the engine rev higher not lower?
