Adding TCC Wiring to Manual Trans TPI harness

i have a harness currently on my car that is hacked to ****. i have access to a tpi harness for next to free from an 89 tpi with man trans
i have an 87 with auto trans. would i be able to take jus the wires for the tcc off the ****ty harness and put it on the 89 harness and be all set?

Usually the wire for TCC is used for the "upshift" light on manual tranny cars. Get a wiring harness of both cars and make sure this is the case. If it is just get the wire from the upshift light and mate it to the tcc.
