Tuning using VEPHD

I have been monitoring the engine and using the info with VEPHD to improve VE tables with a $8d 730 ECM. I'm getting decent results, but it's taking quite a few passes, and it's never consistent.

Wondering if I would get better or faster results if I lock the BLM's to 128. My theory is that BLM's carry from one cell to the next, and are only updated every 400ms. So as the engine moves from a "bad" cell to a "good" one, it has adjusted the BLM for the "Bad" cell. So when it hits the "good" cell, it starts off all wrong and the INT and fine fuel go crazy to compensate. So the first few readings in the "good" cell are messed up.

What do you think?
