Commander 950 TPI injector harness
In installing the seperate injector harness on a TPI motor, it appears the harness is not long enough to lay along the top edge of the valve covers like the factory harness. Call this approach #1.
Approach #2. When I lay it underneath the the plenum, and underneath the fuel rail, it would appear that the groups of injector pairs need to be untaped, so that the stranded leads are long enough to reach the injectors. This layout is often done on custom street rod set-ups .
The only alternative is to lay it on top of the fuel rails, which makes a very "back-yard installation" look. Approach #3.
In all three approaches, I have the multi-pin connector for the injection harness exiting at the rear of the motor on the passenger side by the distributer.
Not knocking the harness or its construction, just wondering what others did here, or if I am missing something?
Let me know, as Holley went to some efforts to tape up this harness to look good, and I would feel foolish untaping it becaused I missed something very obvious.
