Commander 950 vs. Accel DFI Gen VII?

Hey everyone!
Right now I've got a Holley 600 cfm vs carb on the 350 in my TA (was on the 305, just swapped it over to get the car on the road) I really think I want to go with the Holley Stealth Ram setup in the near future. I'd love not having to mess with the carb anymore. My question is this: assuming I go with the Stealth Ram, should I get the complete setup from Holley with the Commander 950 ECM, or should I opt out of the Commander 950 and spend the extra (A LOT EXTRA!) for the Gen VII Accel DFI system? What are opinions/comments on these two systems? Is the Gen VII really worth the extra cash? Also are there other things I should take into consideration before jumping into a DFI system? Thanks for any and all help you can provide!!!

I have a DFIV7 with a stealth ram. I think it has allot more to offer than
the commander 950. If you are running a simple combo go with the
commander, its cheaper. You can do more with the accel, Wb, NOS, ect. you can
use it on multiple cars with multiple maps. I have three different maps for
my car. one NA, one boost/pumpgas, boost/racegas.
here are the links.

You can run multiple maps on a C950. They would have to be saved on your laptop & loaded as needed, a 2 minute process.

I dont think you need either of those unless you are running forced induction. If you are N/A (meaning you only need a 1 bar map sensor) you can get good performance for alot cheaper. The stock 730 ECM from any Speed Density TPI car will work with the Stealthram provided the chip is tuned for the injectors you use. You could either custom tune it yourself (DIY), or find someone to burn you a chip. Either way it will be cheaper than those DFI systems and you will get the same results if you get it tuned right. Just my .02

I like the idea of the C950 or DFI V7 because of the ease of tuning and capability for easy expansion into forced induction, nitrous, etc....Oh, yea, speaking of nitrous, I know the DFI V7 has provisions for controlling up to 3 stages of nitrous, but does the C950 have any provision for tuning for nitrous? I built the bottom end of my motor so that I could go with a 100 or 200 shot (easily) if I ever wanted to, so having an ECM that can deal with it would be required if I were to go fuel injected. I guess that's one of my biggest concerns on the C950 vs. DFI V7 is whether the C950 can deal with nitrous. I'd love it if the C950 could because it is SO much less expensive than the DFI V7 Anyway thanks for all the advice so far! Keep it coming!

The 950 will handle dry or wet nitrous with a firmware upgrade from Holley.

Excellent!!!! It looks like I'll probably go with the C950 if/when I go fuel injected then. I'm assuming it's not too hard/expensive to get the firmware upgrade from Holley? Anyway, thanks so much for all the help guys! I'm pretty sure I want to get a stealth ram set up on my engine once I get the money saved up. Now I know the C950 will do everything I want to be able to do, AND cost less than the Gen 7 Accel unit!
