Commander 950 woes

As some of you may know I have built a custom v6 with a supercharger and for induction I choose the 670 holley commander tbi set up. I am having trouble getting the truck run. I had an oil leak issue which I just resolved last night and now I can put full efforts on getting it running to idle on its own.

What are some of the common suggestions out there for a commander controlled motor that isnt able to run? I dropped the distributor in like I always do, I used holleys wirning harness on the project and the oem harness is neatly taped up along the lower firewall.

I am running a msd 6 al box. I have a pink and white looks like 12 gauge wires that are on the oem harness feeding one end of an msd 6al coil harness and the other is feed off the pink and black coming from the 4 pin external coil hei.

Those wires run to the msd box , the msd box has batt power and ground, the orange and black then come from the msd box to feed the coil.

I got the engine to kick over and run roughly a few times, but its is showing the tell tales signs that it is out of time. The fuel pump and injectors are fireing. My ignition reference is set to 10, I have it set up for 6cyl and hei.

My first sets according to the manual should be to verify rpm signal, then to check timing sync between the ecu and the balancer. Is it typical to run into this problem or am I missing something???

All sensors are reading in range.

Got it idling on its own now, running pretty smooth, I have the a/f at 11.6 . I had to increase start up enrichment and the fuel table and slide the big injectors in. Sounding pretty sweet.
