C950 vs EEprom burnin
What would be the advatages if any to using the commander system as opposed to burning your how chips. I was thinking about the commander ecu and racing software from summit so I can run the wide band O2. But I can run a wide band O2 with a stock ecu too. Thanks.

There is a difference in 950/GM-ECM capabilities too. A 950 will be less complex making it easier to get tuned. The GM ECM will have more capability. This does two things: makes it a little more difficult to tune, while the end result is typically better.
Your question has been hashed out before with input from users of both systems. To help decide see what a search can bring up.

One recent advantage of the c950: After 1/1/04, all C950 ECMs will be shipped with their new Pro software/firmware, which includes WB 02 capability and a few other new odds and ends compared to their race software. Just have to make sure you don't get old dealer stock, or you will have to send it back to holley for an approx. $99 upgrade (have to send mine).

Cool I was gonna upgrade to the race software so I can use a wide band O2, so the new stuff I don't have to spend the 245 to upgrade then?

yeah, talked to doug flynn @ holley, he also moderates over @ the chevytalk.org efi board, he told me that, he also said the 99 dollars is his estimate. Holleys wideband is gonna be about 650, but he said it would work with any WB 02 with a controller, i.e. innovative.
