also, rick or someone, do you still have to have a base fuel map so the computer knows "sort of" how much fuel to inject before trimming based on the wideband?

A wideband, with anyone's system, never replaces tuing the base fuel table. It is no different from a narrowband O2 sensor except you can run closed loop at different A/F ratios and you can tell exactly what is going on at WOT.
This is a basic principle of EFI that seems to have a large misconseption by many people.
When it is warming up open loop, or at WOT (if not closed loop), or when operating in a transient condition, the fuel table or map MUST be right or the vehicle can not run well.
A wideband is not a replacement for proper tuning, it just makes it MUCH easier, braindead to anyone that is an experienced tuner.
