Blown 7.4L Suburban needs injectors & custom tune
I have a 1999 GM Suburban with a Whipple charger @ 10lbs, water/meth injection, MSD, headers etc.
I want to increase my injector size and will require custom ECM tuning to run new parameters.
Who does custom ECM tuning for GM Trucks?
Mike

You can program it yourself... There are many ways to go about this. expect to spend atleast $200. It can get as high as $500 depenging on how picky you want it to run.
www.moates.net
There are many aftermarket chip tuners out there. Most charge $200 per chip. Some charge $250 per chip.

I am not familiar with the later engines. You may have more than one chip to be changed....
You will want to know what computer (ECM) you have.
Good luck.

IIRC - there were some guys at www.pelicanparts.com looking to hack the Porsche Bosch Motoronics too!
The chip on my '85 911 is nearly the same as on my '7730 GM...
I am sure the codes and addressing is completely different.
Good luck.

The world needs more hackers. There are a handfull (3 or 4) guys that hold all the cards with the current Porsche programming. I was told the German dude who hacked it and provides the programming for Gemballa, will sell an encrypted program for a specific list of hardware for U$100,000K to a reseller. That's insane! Where are all the brilliant 14 year old hackers? If a person could crack the Motronics software, it would be so easy to dominate the Porsche Tuning market in North America.

Yah, but Bosh changed so many of their computers through-out the years. There are SO many variables in each of the chips. The GM listings alone are pages and pages long. I can only imagine how much longer a complicated and speicific German programming would entail much more comlicated algorithms to come up with the three requirements (ignition, fuel, compression)of combustion.
Thinking of compression, the newer Porsches' use Variable Valve Timing... throttle by wire, Porsche Stability Management, not to mention other non-conventional induction (turbo etc.).
Ugh it's hurts my brain just thinking of all the various inputs on the Porsches.

The 99's are OBDII compliant, and I don't know of anyone that's changed the programming to allow for boost sensing.
So you might wind up with piggy backing something onto what you have, that is programmable, and boost capable.
Or swap over to a TCM, Transmission control module, and then add something else for engine management.
