The motor that is now in the truck is a 406. So i guess my question concerns the computer..The computer is stock for a 1994 350..

I would like cam sugestions with and without ecm upgrade.. Also, what is the largest duration cam a modified ecm can handle

Best bet for cam suggestions is to talk to a few cam companies. They have tons of experience and can offer good advice.

As far as the largest cam a modified ECM can handle. . . no cam is too big. Modified is a relative term. For the biggest, lowest vacuum producing cams some aftermarket ECMs offer a N-Alpha mode for low RPM driveability.

As for tuning OEM ECMs for different cams it is really a matter of how much time you aare willing to put into it. With more time comes more understanding of the OEM code comes better driveability and power.
