is a new ECM needed?
i have an 86- z28.. the car is origionally a 86 lg4 305 carb'd 5 speed manual. i now have a 350 4bolt. bored .040 over = 356....i have an aggresive cam and higher compression and aluminum heads off a 90 vette. differnt exhaust and intake manifold. i do however have the origional carb onb there. it has been rebuilt, but there are still wires running to it. i have the stock distributor with a 50k volt coil, and good accel wires...with platinum plugs. the fans are NOT controled by the computer, and i took the A/c out. i have also taken the air pump for the emssions out; but i do retain the EGR valve, and air/fuel sensor.
although i have cut back on alot of the wires under the hood, would it be benefical to get a custom chip for this motor, or is the origional chip good enough?
all i can see the computer running is the carb, the knock sensor, and the air/fuel sensor...
im really looking for someone to tell me the truth please help.

I'd suggest the same as Grumpy recommends:

Seems as though it would be a good match.
