Closed loop problems

I am trying to tune my own car. I am currently using EASE scanning software to scan. My car is 355, procharged, HSR, 42lb injectors and stuff like that. My problem is i cant get to the car to go into closed loop. I am able to see most of the other paremeters while scanning but i cant get it to go into closed loop. My base chip is from a sy,ty. I did the 730 to 749 swap. I let the car idle forever and even drove it around for a while but still no luck. The o2 is brand new. It's just the one wire delco one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A cal item to check is the coolant thershold for closed loop. Some $58 cal's have them set rather high. Then check the data log for the O2 sensor value either high or low of 450mV.

I am not getting any O2 values. I thought that it had to be in closed loop to get these values. It's sounding like i may have more than one problem. I am using ease diagnostic software. And with the software i have to use a 93 somoma 4wd to get to connect. I am getting some values to show up. Like RPM and Temps but no O2's.

If you are running the $58 code then the scan tool really should connect with a vehicle that uses that code. Turbo Sunbird, GrandAm or a Sy/Ty. Else the data stream probably won't match.

I think your right. I am going to try and use some other vehicles and see if i can get all the data to show up on the screen. I just figured that once i got to connect to the vehicle that things were supposed to be right. But i guess not. This is just another little hurdle i have to go through before i can finally have decently tuned super charged car.
