moody 89 formula doesn't like to start

i am having a starting prob with my 89 formula 350. for some reason sometimes hot or cold my car wont start. others times it does without hesitation. when it doesnt start it just turns over.

i have fuel pressure (it was at 48psi and have since run it down to 38psi with the vac line disconnected- this didnt help the prob), the fuel pump is prob less than 5 years old, the fuel filter is prob the same age, i hear the pump prime relay kick on, i have decent plugs, and my 24# accel injectors are a year old. it did the same with the old injectors, but went away last time when i dialed my fuel pressure down (it was around 58psi before). i have an msd6a and my rotor cap looks good. all my lines to my msd are secure, as are my plug wires. i set up my tps voltage to whatever it called for. my timing is prob a little high at 12 deg initial. the car was checked for vacuum leaks 6 mos ago.

when i take off the wires to the front 2 injectors on both sides (cyl 1,2,5,6) it starts.

the car has a mini ram intake, a zz4 cam, 52mm tb, and a level 6 chip from tpis.

any help would greatly be appreciated!

Two strikes against you, the Ign system, and chip.

Other then that, all the normal problems apply. Might try swapping in an ignition module and rotor to eliminate the obvious.

*Humor Alert*
There's a rumor that the Level 7 and 8 chips have been improved. Providing whiter teeth, and fewer cavities when used in a consciencely applied daily manner, besure to contact you dentist before attempting any herbal oral care. Not to be attempted without adult supervision.
