DFI gen 6 vs. gen 7 vs. Commander 950?

Hey guys....I think I'm going to be getting into the wonderful world of fuel injection in the not too distant future and I've done quite a bit of reading on these various ECUs but I've been left somewhat confused. I'd be very interested to know what each one has for advantages/disadvantages over the others. I know Gen 7 is the most expensive so I'm assuming it's got some significant advantages over the others, but the Commander 950 seems quite competent as well. The Gen 6 is the one I know the least about (and the one that seems to be the most plentiful on eBay :P). Anyway...sorry for asking such a broad question, but if anyone could shed some light on my confusion or add personal experiences with any of these units I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!!
